ANTENNA'S WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND

Antenna's are the most important part of any good Amateur Radio station. Most every ham radio operator concentrates on building up the station inside the shack before working to improve their antenna system. A wire antenna with a transmatch will work, however the efficiency of the antenna will not be good at all. The antenna and feedline you select will determine how well  your station will work. A good antenna system does not nesecerraly require big cost. A simple roll of wire from a local hardware supply can be used to build several types of efficient wire antennas.

For most new ham operators, e simple dipole is normally the antenna of choice. What antenna you decide to use is dependant on space for the various length antennas.

A member of our club K4KV Glen enjoys building and testing various antenna's. You can read about his projects and see photo's of his antenna farm. You will also find links to other helpful Antenna related web pages.

An original member of CPARC KF4BI Keith has homebrewed and tested lots of antennas through the years. We are happy to start the KF4BI Antenna pages with helpful articles from the Shack of KF4BI .
